Ghost Town Museum

As a true preservation of Colorado’s western past, Ghost Town Museum is a fun and historic look back at the kind of old west town that used to dot this region during the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s.

DIRECTIONS:
Ghost Town is easy to find and centrally located among the area's attractions. From Interstate 25, take Exit 141 and head West on Highway 24, travel a mile and a half to the intersection of 21st Street. Turn LEFT on to 21st Street and immediately turn RIGHT at their sign into the first entrance drive which they share with the stone Roundhouse. You have ARRIVED!

Helen Hunt Falls.

Helen Hunt Jackson was a successful 19th century author and Native American activist. The Helen Hunt falls now bears her name and are reputed to have a plethora of spirit activity. Due to human error and rugged terrain, many people have died here - an average of 5 per year at this writing. It is said that supernatural phenomena occur as you drive or walk through the tunnel, and psychics have reported fairly strong activity here.

Pioneer Museum

A manager of one of the government departments/agencies was found dead in the (then) El Paso county courthouse building during the 1950's. He had a hot headed/slightly deranged employee on his staff. This problem employee became incensed when he thought that he had been cheated out of part of his pay check. The employee then proceeded to shoot his boss to death in a fit of rage and emotion. Does this unfortunate soul still roam here?
